The Dead Sea is actually a lake located along the border of Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. The waters from the Dead Sea are unique in that they contain 27% of various salts as compared to 3% in normal seawater. The salt contains over 21 minerals including Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Bromide, Iodine, and Zinc. These mineral elements work together as regulators of cell activity and daily functioning, relieving muscular pain and stabilizing fluid levels in the body. Deeply hydrating, it has natural antibacterial properties. Because it has the highest mineral content, it is ideal for use in spa treatments and for therapeutic-grade Dead Sea bath salts and scrubs.
Our Dead Sea Mineral Salt (Fine) is white in color and has a grainy consistency, which is a bit larger than that of raw sugar. The rough nature of the salt lends itself to skin scrubs (exfoliation) and can also be used with Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). We recommend you try Dead Sea Mineral Salt as a body scrub or just as a relaxing additive to your baths.
