Processing Method: Steam Distillation. Fresh ginger root is macerated and distilled over high heat, from which the oil is extracted.
Product Description: It is a herbaceous perennial of the Zingiberaceae family which grows annual stems about a meter tall bearing narrow green leaves and yellow flowers. The rhizome is gathered when the stalk withers and is immediately scalded, or washed and scraped, to kill it and prevent sprouting.
Cautions: Dilute before use; May cause skin irritation in some individuals; a skin test is recommended prior to use. Contact with eyes should be avoided.
Storage: It is recommended that oils packaged in metal containers (for safe shipping), be transferred into dark glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life.
