Product Description: The fennel-flower is a member of the buttercup family and produces aromatic seeds. It is a hardy, perennial, umbelliferous herb, with yellow flowers and feathery leaves, growing wild in most parts of temperate Europe and the Mediterranean. Fennel sweet essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the crushed seeds, light yellow in colour and of a pourable viscosity. Fennel essential oil is extracted by steam distillation. This involves using the steam from boiling water to extract the essential oil from the plant. The heat from the steam causes the plant’s cell walls to open allowing the essential oil to be released.
