Product Description: The Marula tree is a a tall, deciduous tree single-stemmed tree with a wide-spreading, round crown and characteristic grey, mottled bark, peeling in disc-shaped flakes. The raw materials for the oil are harvested and pressed by community collectives of mostly women. Semi-solid at ambient temperatures, immersion in a hot-water bath will bring it to a liquid state. The oil is predominantly oleic acid, which makes it an excellent component in skin-care formulations. It is an ideal choice for modern cosmetic formulasĀ and can be used to manufacture hair treatments, scalp conditioners, hair lotionsĀ and skin moisturizing lotions.
Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.

This is a luxury oil. It’s absorbed into the skin almost immediately and leaves a silky feeling and it can be used directly on the skin. You’ll pay three times as much for the same oil with a brand on it at a major cosmetics chain. I’m really looking forward to working with this product.
