Product Description: The Marula tree is a a tall, deciduous tree single-stemmed tree with a wide-spreading, round crown and characteristic grey, mottled bark, peeling in disc-shaped flakes. The raw materials for the oil are harvested and pressed by community collectives of mostly women. Semi-solid at ambient temperatures, immersion in a hot-water bath will bring it to a liquid state. The oil is predominantly oleic acid, which makes it an excellent component in skin-care formulations. It is an ideal choice for modern cosmetic formulas and can be used to manufacture hair treatments, scalp conditioners, hair lotions and skin moisturizing lotions.
Shelf Life: Users can expect a shelf life of 2 years with proper storage conditions (cool, out of direct sunlight). Refrigeration after opening is recommended.
