Description: Though a little grainy in texture, this butter melts once in touch with skin. It is made of mango seed oil that is refined to remove the mango aroma and colour. It is pale in colour and very creamy & smooth. Mango butter is rich in oleic acid, a mono-unsaturated omega-9 acid; and stearic acid, a saturated fatty acid. These are ingredients that the skin readily recognizes, takes up, and uses to help add moisture to the skin and tightens and firms. Mango butter can help protect and heal skin from the damage caused by sunburn and frostbite. While mango butter is excellent for skin, it is often mixed with other ingredients because it is much harder than she butter. Since mango butter is a natural source of vitamin A, it helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and increasing skin’s overall youthful look. Mango butter contains oleic acid (46%), stearic acid (42%), linoleic acid (3%), and vitamins such as A, E, C, D and B vitamins. Magnesium, calcium, and folic acid also contribute to the benefits of mango butter for beautiful skin.
Uses: It is traditionally used in the rainforests and tropics to soften, soothe and moisturize dry skin. When applied to the skin, mango butter has the ability to protect it from the sunburn as well as sooth sunburned skin.
